Mommy's In Trouble

Elliot got in trouble last week for coloring on her ottoman, end table, bookshelf, and finally the bathroom door.  We told her, "We only color on paper!"  It is her mantra now.  We hear it all the time.

Today I picked her up after work, and I had had a pen leak onto my hands during the day.   As I put her in the car, she said to me, "Mommy didn't color on paper!"  Oops.  :)

As I'm driving her home, she often asks me pick up something that she has dropped.  I tell her that I can't because I'm driving and I have to concentrate.  Now she says, "Mommy's driving."  And I say, "What do I have to do when I'm driving?"  She says, "Concentrate!"  And when I ask her what concentrate means, she says, "Think hard and FOCUS!"  That's my baby girl.

Wow, that kid has quite the vocabulary! I foresee hours and hours of you telling her to hang up with her friend now please in 13 years.

"But, Mom, this is a DIFFERENT friend."
