Halfway done!
Before....
Today we are having new custom cabinets installed. I had drawn up an idea of what I wanted, then Mike from Carrera Homes came up with the final design plan. He's been working on them for a couple of weeks now, and today they will be installed.
Last night, I was looking through old pics of Ella from when she was just a little bean, and I found a great "Before" picture of our wall. Here is it:
And since I was digging up pics of Ella from a year ago, here she is one year ago:

Elliot's Funny
Yesterday morning, I got up with Elliot. Daddy was sleeping in. She was carrying her baby. We had a little conversation:
Elliot: Elli's baby!
Mommy: Who's Mommy's baby? Is Elli Mommy's baby?
Elliot: Elli Mommy baby!
Mommy: Is Daddy Mommy's baby?
Elliot: NO! Daddy Mommy HONEY!
Too true, my love, too true!

Socken - Plural of Sock
This morning as I got Elle dressed for school, I was putting her socks on. Like the smart girl that she is, she counted them as we put them on: "One socken, two socken! Two socken, Mommy!"

Thanks, Mikey!
Well, Elliot has two boyfriends at Miss Ronnie's house - Brian and Mikey. I believe it was Mikey (who makes Elliot giggle like no one else) who sent the stomach bug to the Jak family. Thursday evening at Dave's concert, Elliot started puking (8 times before we left the school - she was surprisingly good at getting it in the trash can when we got her to one in time) and continued at home (6 more times at home). The following day was looking up, Dave stayed home with her and said she had a great day - playing like her old self, drinking lots of pedialyte. When I got home (and Vik was there to teach lessons) she threw up a few more times. Saturday, she threw up yet again, so I called the doc. We took her in to find out that she lost a half a pound (a lot when you only weigh 22 lbs!) and was getting dehydrated. The doc sent us the ER. I think it was a "playing it safe" kind of situation, and we didn't really need to go. We could have done at home what we did at the hospital, but she was probably covering her arse. Elle drank 5 cc's of Pedialyte every five minutes for 3 times, then 10 cc's, then 15. Once she had all that down without vomiting, we were allowed to bring her home. We came home, and Dave got sick. Dave recovered rather quickly and was feeling better by Sunday afternoon. So, of course, I got it Sunday evening. I had to take Monday off. Today I should probably have taken off, but I'm banking my sick days for my next maternity leave (no, that's not an announcement). We're all on the road to recovery now, doing mounds of laundry, and shoveling the snow that is pouring from the sky.
In her feeling sickness, Elliot has gotten to see Sesame Street more than usual. She just wants to sit and cuddle and watch "the street." Tonight, she said to me, "Mommy, Elmo Street, please." So of course, I caved. She also made me fall in love again by saying, "Mommy? Love you." We've been getting that a lot lately. She didn't eat dinner again tonight, but I heard she ate some ham at Grandma's.
